Will Next Week Be The Best Week of Reality TV Ever?

A thought occurred to me on the way home from the dentist today: next week might very well be the best week ever for reality fans. Think about it: almost every single reality behemoth will be airing. The sad exception to the rule is The Amazing Race, which unfortunately wrapped up its latest exciting run last month. Nevertheless, an intrepid reality fan (a.k.a. me) will be able to get through next week with brand new episodes of all the reality shows that have come to define the genre: American Idol, America's Next Top Model, Apprentice, Big Brother, Project Runway, and Survivor. To a lesser degree, there's also the veteran campy delight, The Real World/Road Rules Challenge, and two of cable's biggest reality shows, Flavor of Love and Rock of Love. Oh, and did I mention new episodes of the cult favorite, Paradise Hotel??? Seriously, if The Amazing Race and The Hills were airing, next week could have gone down in history as the perfect week of reality offerings. As it stands now though, it's still pretty awesome.

Of course, if we look at non-fiction pop culture entertainment as a whole, February 2008 might go down for the ages. Aside from all the A-List reality shows, we had real-life drama in an unbelievable Super Bowl, a hectic Super Tuesday, and, of course, Britney Spears. And we're not even halfway through the month. Consider me ENTHUSED!

Frankly, I'm looking forward to the "fierce" of Tyra. I'm so sick of the Christian faux-"fierce" of PrjRnwy. . . but next . . .

Don't forget about "Scott Baio Is 46 and Pregnant". I love it!

Is this your way of telling us you didn't go meet Phil at the travel show this weekend?

Ooh, I forgot about that! Eh, it was too early on a Sunday morning to schlepp down to Long Beach, especially given that I was up late the night before. In time, I'm sure there will be other chances to meet the Philster.

Does it get any better than this? Can't wait for this week in tv.

The first night of BB was wicked good.
Good to see Julie still uses her cue cards to cover the cooter.

What about MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER? That is one awesome show.

Hey Ben! Why haven't we seen a celebratory post about the end of the strike? Are you working for reals now and don’t have time for your blog? Or are you drunk? I’m going with the drunk theory, it's more fun.

What the hell? you missed an opportunity to meet the Philster? I don't know you anymore.

On a side note, does anyone know when his Packageness will be making his triumphant return?
