I don't even have houseplants, but for some reason, I want the Aqua Globe. It allows you to leave your plants unattended for up to TWO WHOLE WEEKS. Wwwhhhaaaa?? Actually, the only reason I'm so impressed with this bad boy is because the science behind the Aqua Globe seems so simple, yet so right (assuming it works). Granted, the downside is that it'll look like a hot air balloon got lodged in your fern, but hey, that's a small price to pay for what will surely be a wonderful conversation starter!

This is so freaky. I came online TODAY to buy those freaking globes, and the green bags that keep your fruits and veggies fresh.
What a coninkydink.
May you have to tell me if they look as good in person as they do on TV because I have wanted them for some time now. If it works well post over on the MSR forums and revive the "You Should Buy This Thread" along with a real opinion about the veggie bag. I don't trust tv but I will trust "strangers" on the internet. :)
Christ you could use an empty scotch bottle. I know you got a few of those. Ü. And it would actually look more natural. Or hey an empty 2 liter Dr. Pepper bottle will do the trick too.
The first time I saw the ad for Aqua Globes, I felt the urge to buy them too. I checked out Amazon thinking I would ship them here but hesitated when I realised that they were fragile and US$15 X 6.3 + shipping was looking like too much when I can just water the damn plants myself!
Oh, and B...I understand that the stem can get clogged when you stick it in the dirt and who knows if you can clear it out!

Ahem...
I have owned these for about a year. Yes they do work, yes they do get clogged with dirt occasionally. You still have to keep an eye on the water level since the hotter it is, the sooner you will have to refill the globe.
Wendy and May, I just got my green bags and I will let you guys know if they keep my tomatoes fresher longer and my salad from turning into primordial ooze.
I'm so happy to know that I'm not the only one who knows about these. I literally just saw the ad for the first time today.
I just want a whole garden of those with no plants.
Yesterday little lbs was watching tv and the ad for these came on, he started yelling "Mommy you need to buy these - You don't have to lift a finger!"
So wrong my tv addiction is corrupting a 4 yr old.
I f ing looooove when infomercials make the easiest tasks look SO hard. Like watering plants? Really? And even if you're going to be out of town, pay your 12 year old neighbor to water your plants. I mean come on.
And has anyone ever seen the one for the pasta maker? Pure genius!
