All this discussion about a possible Arrested Development movie has gotten me in a tizzy. I just had to post another video (plus, after my Heidi post, I had to earn back some blogger cred). Anyway, this clip features the gloriously withering reactions of Lucille Bluth (Jessica Walter) at a Denny's-like restaurant. Comic perfection incarnate.

So funny.
(and I love hulu, toolu :) )
Thanks to AD and the awesome Jessica Walter, my pop-culture quoting family has adopted, "This does not bode well," "I'll have the Ike and Tina Tuna," and "I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it," and used it on several occasions when we go out to dinner.
I really hope the movie talk is not an ILLUSION!
Your family sounds awesome.
They are, actually. :) We can recite entire scenes from Airplane! and--get this--Sixteen Candles. Screw Breakfast Club...Sixteen Candles is comedy gold. Considering that my dad is a former football player-turned-trucking-company-owner, who loves Goodfellas and The Sopranos, the fact that an 80's Brat Pack movie is among his all-time favorite films is pretty cool.
So I've been reading your blogs for like 3 years now, and I'm finally commenting! I LOOOOOOVE Arrested Development and the fact that you love it makes me like you even more. Anyway, since you're putting scenes from it on your blog, one great scene is with Lucille (and Michael and George Michael and Tobias) where Lucille is quoting with a full martini glass. Hilarious! I can't remember what episode it's from though...
Hot ham water. "Mmmm so watery and yet there's a smack of ham to it."
