In case you missed last night’s triumphant, spectacular episode of Big Brother, here’s one of the hour’s defining moments: Keesha’s super awkward birthday celebration, which came right smack dab in the middle of the biggest blow-up of the season. My only regret about the video above is that by starting the clip with the cast singing “Happy Birthday,” you really don’t get any sense that just minutes prior, they were all yelling. Nevertheless, Libra’s so-hostile-it-hurts question, “Anybody want cake?” remains one of the most hilarious moments of the season. And of course, it only took about 3.2 seconds for the imbroglio to start right back up again. Classic.

I can tell you that *my* birthday wish came true!
During the post-song silence you can hear some cutlery noises…I was thinking somebody is about to get stabbed.
I really hate how Keesha’s squeeky ass voice cuts right through you when you are trying to enjoy a good fight. It’s INAPPROPRIATE!!… among other things.
You KNOW CBS was hatin’ having to pony up some coin to pay for the rights to “Happy Birthday,” but it was money well spent.
Best birthday sing a long, evah.

Caught the whole thing on After Dark and it was epic. My favorite part, also lost in the edit, was Jerry’s playing Mister Subliminal, cooly conversing in a bespokenly soft voice about the need for everyone to calm down and get along. Meanwhile, so far as I could tell, not a single person was actually listening to him, or for that matter could even hear him at all, as they were busy screaming like maniacs. But that didn’t discourage him! His peaceful monologue continued unabated, like a radio tuned to some random channel in the background of a war zone. Good stuff!
