Mad Men wrapped up its second season Sunday night, and what a finale it was. Set against the backdrop of the Cuban Missile Crisis, the entire episode was beautifully tense. Everything about the show — from the acting to the cinematography — was wrought with fierce emotion, particularly the devastating scene late in the hour when Peggs confessed to Pete that she'd given birth to (and subsequently given up) his love child. I just wanted to shake the TV and yell "IT'S SO GOOOOD."
Now comes the hard part: waiting for season three. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with myself. If you haven't jumped on the bandwagon, it's not too late. Rent the DVDs of season one. Believe me, it's well worth it. This show is fresh and complicated and some of the best television ever! We caught onto Mad Men and netflixed season 1 - we missed season 2 and On Demand is only showing a few of the later episodes. Anyone know where we can watch Season 2 from the beginning???

It will be a long wait indeed. AMC needs to order more episodes per season, because I go thru withdrawl. I pull out my Mad Men cocktail shaker and party like it's 1962.
