New CW Promo Proves To Be Catchiest In Network's History

By B-Side in

Monday's Gossip Girl had plenty of wonderful moments (none of which included Vanessa), but perhaps the best part of the hour was something that didn't even happen in the show. Instead, it was a nifty little promo made by The CW to promote what else? Chuck Bass. Set to this fall's catchiest pop ditty, "Womanizer" by Britney Spears, the spot reminds us why we love Chuck Bass, Gossip Girl, and pop culture as a whole. I could go on, but I'll just stop myself before I embarrass myself with further gushing.

The best part of monday's episode was when Eric and Serena were walking to school after being informed of their new house rules.

Eric suggests that their new curfew would give them more time to watch TV and then he adds "if anyone still watches TV on a TV anymore".

Classic writer whinning. Oh well, maybe more Chuck Bass promos will bring in the viewers.

I'm irritated! Time Warner is still fighting with the CW and we no longer have the channel. I'm forced to watch episodes online and I have to wait. Boo! They have given us free Starz family for the mean time, but I WANT MY GOSSIP GIRL BACK! So that is my whine for the day.

Mother Chucker - love it :-)

Lately I'm finding Chuck to be my fav character on the show. I think it's that slimey, devious, yet strangely sexy voice of his that draws me in. Ooh, it is getting hot in here?!?

And up until recently, I was indifferent towards Vanessa but now I think she is annoying. Like, really, what is her purpose on the show? Go away.

knnmom-

Are you waiting for the episodes to post on the CW site? If so, you should try this site-
ch131.com

CW usually takes forever to post episodes online, but that site has them up the next day. That is what I use when my dvr acts wonky and doesn't record it. (Only after delivering a beatdown to my dvr, of course.)

Thanks Megan! Now I'm late for work :)

Nikispice - have you ever heard him speak in real life, with his sexy british accent?

Warning - don't go there if you don't want to embarrassingly be thinking about chuck bass all day

Thanks for the link, Beccs - you have satiated my daily need for a Chuck fix. Yeah, I have actually heard Ed in interviews before & was surprised by the accent. Gotta love those Brits!

Anyway, I happened to catch a clip about GG on E! News last night (god, do I really watch that show?) and they said a male character on the show would die, thus giving opportunity for a romance between other characters to take place. I'm hedging my bets that it's nobody THAT important & will wind up being Bart who dies, so that Lily & Roofy Poofy can hook up. Whaddya think?

FYI - Sometimes after you leave a comment, it'll say there's an error, but just ignore it. The comment most likely is there. What does the website know anyway? IT'S A ROBOT.
