And The Winner Is…

Just under eight weeks ago, as part of a Hills promotional tie-in, I posted a contest imploring people to state their worthiness to win $25 of free Sonic fast food. I really didn’t expect much of a response, but I must have vastly overlooked the draw of free food and perhaps underestimated the quality of Sonic (which I still have not tried). Anyway, I received many submissions, and they were all well-written, well-stated, and well-imbued with the sort of sentimental stuff that really pulls the heartstrings.
I had a very difficult time choosing a winner, but alas, the time has come.

Despite many close contenders, I have to tip my hat to longtime reader Jack who submitted this simple yet effective plea:

I will make this short and sweet. The wife is 9 months preggers and about to bust at any second. I swear I saw a leg hanging out this morning. I could give her this gift cert at the hospital and say- “Congratulations you don’t have to cook me dinner for a few days!”
Now the kiss ass part:
I have been a fan since the early TVGASM days, and made my wife call me B-Side the night we conceived.

How could I deny that? So congratulations to Jack for his well-earned free food (not to mention his new baby, who was born a week later).
