Gossip broke today when Washington wag Carol Joynt reported that the new cast of the Real Housewives of D.C. had been finalized. Of course, nothing is official, and for all we know, this Carol Joynt — or CJ as I'm wont to call her — may be completely off her rocker. But according to NBC Washington, CJ is the "queen of the Washington D.C. social scene" (perhaps sarcasm is intended); so who am I deny her morsels of gossip? Besides, rumor is fact. We all know that. Oh, and this info was sent to me by someone from NBC, which leads me to believe there may be truth to it. Or not.
Pics and identities of the alleged cast after the jump.

Mai Abdo: From NBC: "wife of Jim Abdo of Abdo Development, mother of two and firmly on Washingtonian's list of best-dressed women." Also, much more attractive than the rest of the cast.

Mary Schmidt Amons: "mother of five and founder of the District Sample Sale." Also, either really, really nice... or a huge bitch.

Lynda Erkiletian: "president of one of D.C.'s most prominent modeling agencies, and the wife of Christopher Reiter, owner of schmancy furniture/clothing boutique Muleh on 14th Street." Also, founder of the "I Always Sit Slightly Higher Than Everyone Else" Club.

Michaele Salahi: "former model and wife of Tareq Salahi, who's president of America's Polo Cup and owner of Oasis Winery." Also, needs a banister at all times for support.

Lisa Wernick Spies: "the reality TV-ambitious wife of Republican fundraiser Charlie Spies." Also, enthusiast of very, very small photos.
Nothing is written in stone, of course. Will keep everyone apprised of future rumors and official announcements...

There are also reports, including in today's Washington Post, that Edwina Rogers is one of the housewives. Link with picture:

and here's video of her wrapping gifts in money... It is Buh - nanas.

Lobbyist Edwina Rogers demurred last spring when we asked if she'd consider joining Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise, poised to turn its lens to Washington: "I'm not a housewife," she said then. "I run a trade association." But at the America's Polo Cup match on the Mall on Saturday, a camera crew trailed her around, according to the FishbowlDC blog. Hmmm. ... Bravo has not yet disclosed who would star in a still-in-development D.C. version. Rogers, who caused a minor sensation last year for her habit of wrapping presents in $1 bills, did not return our calls or e-mails.
the photo of mary amons is not mary amons. It is Jayne Sandman and yes, Edwina Rogers (fishbowl dc reported that like a week ago) is the confirmed 5th housewife...get it together.
Dang.. I'm going to J&G tomorrow night! Should have went Saturday.
From today's Washington Post:
Another possible, unconfirmed addition to "The Real Housewives of D.C.": Lynda Erkiletian, head of T.H.E. Artist Agency, with purported cast member Mary Amons. The two women were followed Saturday night by a camera crew to J&G Steakhouse, where they were greeted by restaurant GM Peter Smith. Bravo says the final roster hasn't been decided.
The Salahi's do not own Oasis Winery. In fact, they ar no longer even living there. The public records in Fauquir County are pretty clear, the winery is owned by Dirgham and Corrine Salahi.
Get your facts striaght, particularly when all of the ownership is a matter of public record.
