By now, most people lurking throughout the blogosphere have seen the before & after pics of Heidi Montag’s new face and body, and if you’re like me, you thought the surgery didn’t look soooo bad (except for that soul-draining effect it has on her eyes and persona). However, I knew I’d have to reserve final judgment until I saw Heidi’s new face in motion — far away from the beneficial aids of photoshop and airbrushing.
Well, the young starlet’s face made its on-camera debut on Good Morning America today, and as feared, Heidi looked truly scary and plastic. She seemed totally devoid of any of human qualities, and what’s saddest is that her face didn’t look drastically different — but just enough to destroy any semblance of charm or personality.
Of course, once you get over Heidi’s new face, you then have to listen to her talk, and the answers to some of reporter Juju Chang’s questions truly walk the line between hilarious and depressing. I think Heidi’s insistence that she wants to send a message about “inner-beauty” is most puzzling of all. However, my favorite exchange is this:
Juju: “You DID have ten plastic surgeries!”

nah,the best part is the utterly creepy browline/brows of her idiot plastic surgery.
Well, that and the name “JuJu.”
I predict that next either she’s going into Scientology or Kabbalah.
Hmmm…To me her face looks like a 40 year old who got plastic surgery to look 25. Of course her when she talks, she sounds like a 12 year trying to sound 25 so maybe it all evens out.
Her parents are so down to earth, I can’t even imagine what must be running through their heads when they see this happening with her. She really doesn’t seem to have any sense of the future or consequences for some of these decisions. That much surgery at 23 just seems very risky, I know the structure of my face changed quite a bit from my early 20′s into my late 20′s – women tend to become a little more angular and defined. Other than reconstructive or remedial surgery, I am surprised a reputable surgeon would agree to do it.
She’s actually pretty articulate but her self-obsession has made her seem out of step, and disconnected from reality. She actually seems somewhat mentally ill – and I’m not being sarcastic.
FWIW – I think she IS very deliberately going for the Barbie look. There was a woman on the talk show circuit many years ago who did the exact same thing right down to a Barbie wardrobe – it was pre-plastic surgery boom so people didn’t identify it as an illness. As I recall she was very intelligent, and high-functioning otherwise -it was a total disconnect.
Sorry for the ramble…
I wonder if maybe Spencer said one time that Barbie is the perfect woman, so she decided that no matter what the cost, she’s going to look like Barbie. I just hope she doesn’t get the foot surgery so her feet are automatically in that high-heel stance that Barbie has.

I said it before, and I’ll say it again – this is all so sad. I really feel awful for her. This is clearly a case of massive insecurity being blatantly maniupulated and magnified by those closest to her (read: Spencer) in every possible way. Ten years from now, she’s going to be in even worse shape on the inside. I fear for what’s ahead of her.
Come on, guys, this is clearly another case of “gotcha” journalism. Everything she said makes total sense. 10 plastic surgeries in one day = two minor procedures, or “tweaks” if you will. Everyone knows that.
She’s really not honest with herself. I feel bad for her being in the limelight like this though. So many actresses and singers have had at least ten plastic surgeries. They just aren’t open about it and did them over time.
