Commenting FAQ
Here's the dreaded truth: the commenting system on my blog can be downright awful. Most of the time it works, but occasionally, it seems to all fall apart. What's worse than trying to comment only to be stifled by an indifferent and non-functioning computer program? (If you answered genocide, I suppose you're right).
If you're having problems, maybe this guide will help you out.
If that doesn't work, keep in mind that Typekey is third party software. If the Typekey servers go down, you won't be able to comment. To get around this, go to plan B: commenting anonymously.
Some people get turned off by the option to comment anonymously because they fear they won't be able to use their name or online handle. This is false. You can use your name or handle. However, you won't be tied to any sort of account (ie. Typekey), which means that technically, you could be any Joe Schmoe off the street -- or any Joe Schmoe could be you. Hence, it's called anonymous commenting.
If this happens, feel free to email me at bsideblog at gmail dotcom.
I'll be happy to answer any questions you have and/or post the comment myself with my awesome webmaster abilities. I'm a glutton for comments, and I love discussion on my posts; so I'm always up for anything to help the process along.
